***New Assistant Manager Required***
Our previous Assistant Manager, Claire Adamson, recently moved on. We wish Claire all the best for her future and thank her for all her hard work in helping to develop The Ark to date - especially in enabling us to develop our weekly activities. The process of identifying a replacement is now underway. For more info check out our Staff page, under the Employees section.

***New Saturday Age Limit***
3rd years can now come on a Saturday! So, if you are in 3rd year and like bands better than discos this is good news for you.

***NINTENDO Wii***
We would like to give a big thanks to the Order of St John who kindly gifted £500 so we could get a Nintendo Wii and heaps of games and accessories. So now you can play a vast array of games on the big screen downstairs.

***The Ark sponsors FRENZY***
Frenzy is the largest one day Christian Music Festival in the UK and it will be held in Edinburgh on 7th June 2008. The Ark will have a stand in the exhibition area on the day (a good rallying point for all you Ayrshire folk), but we have also agreed to sponsor STAGE 2, their battle of the bands event. 8 live bands, secondary to the main stage events, and The Ark has been asked to deal with all the stage and sound stuff. ***YFriday***
YFriday are playing the main stage on Frenzy this year too, and then on Sunday 8th June, the day after Frenzy, they are playing a free gig right here at The Ark. This event has been organised in collaboration with Dtalks. Hope to see you here! Check out our events section for more info and for a poster.

***Wednesday Lunch Cafe***
The Ark is now open every Wednesday afternoon from 12pm until 2pm for lunches. Come along and grab a bowl of lovely soup, a toastie, or a filled roll. Meal deals are the best value in the town. Sip a fair trade latte and sit and relax in our refreshing club diner atmosphere. The computers are available with broadband internet access too. WIFI coming soon!

***Wednesday Drop In***
We are also open every Wednesday between 3.30pm and 6.30pm as an after school youth centre. No charge to get in. Just come after school and have a game of pool, pick up a guitar if you like, or kick back and relax in our soft sofa zone. You can also use our internet suite, or play the playstation II.

***DTALKS***
D-Talks is a monthly Christian youth event organised and hosted by a number of churches throughout Ayrshire. It is held at New Life Church in Prestwick on the second Sunday of every month at 7pm. Come along and discover more about Jesus and how you can get involved in the local Christian community. All youth and youth leaders are welcome - especially YFs.
