The Ministry!

There is no hiding the fact that the churches in Ayr have a large part to do with The Ark, but don't let the word 'ministry' make you gasp. It is not our intention at the Ark to stand on a 'soap box' and force our faith on young people, but to provide a place where they feel safe and comfortable to be themselves. The service provided by The Ark is essentially inspired by the Christian faith, but the service is freely given to all regardless of their religious or other beliefs.

The Ark provides an attractive alternative to the binge drinking and drugs culture that is quite prominent in the lives of young people today. We do hope that our service, our professionalism, and our unique style can break some of the stigma attached to the word 'church'.
