The Volunteers
The Ark depends very much on our growing team of volunteers. These people are the backbone of the Ark, and without them we would not be able to do what we currently do. Before they can join the team, each volunteer is required to fill out an application form, obtain two references, and complete an enhanced disclosure form. They will also be inducted into the team and provided with necessary training and periodical reviews. Although they are along on the night to work, our volunteers also come along when off-duty just to hang out and, as is always good to hear, they assure us that they have just as much fun when they're working!
