Week 2 of the Summer Programme kicked off with a fun and active game of Capture the Flag. Young people split into two teams and created their own flags to represent their teams... Team Mac N Cheese and Team 1, 2 Special Crew. They then took to the battlefield and got their competitive game faces on to Capture the Flag of the opposing team.
Tuesdays trip lead us to Flip Out for a full-on trampoline experience. The young people jumped into a world of wall-to-wall trampolines and foam pits, bounced to new heights and learned new tricks with friends.
Day 3 was Footie & Splash... a Football tournament which got very competitive and ended with a fun water fight! David was present with a football as winner of man of the match.
On Day 4, young people got into teams and set off around Ayr town on a digital scavenger hunt. Their challenge was to take their phone/camera and create fun scenarios and pictures whilst making their way round the trail. There was some great creative photos!
Day 5 we had lots of fearless young people at I'm a Teen Get Me Out of Here! They took on various I’m a celebrity themed challenges such as the Bush tucker trail, grave grabbing, Mingin' Milkshales, Pin the spider on the web and Cockroach catapult. Caleb was crowned Kind of the Ark’s jungle for his bravery.
We would like to say a massive thank you to those who have funded and supported our Summer Programme - Mickel Trust, Cashback for Communities, Foundation Scotland - Response Recovery & Resilience, Youth Scotland, Christina May Hendrie and South Ayrshire Council.
And again a big thanks to pupils from Queen Margaret Academy who organised and ran the Capture the Flag and Footie & Splash event as part of their Dynamic Youth Award, what a great job they have done!
